Excel Formula

How to Calculate BMI In Excel

CONVERT(Cell,"ft","m")+CONVERT(Cell,"in","m")

CONVERT(K8,"lbm","kg")

Weight/Height^2

The first formula, "CONVERT(Cell,"ft","m")+CONVERT(Cell,"in","m")", is used to convert a measurement in feet and inches to meters in Excel. The formula takes the value in a cell that contains a measurement in feet and adds to it the value in another cell that contains a measurement in inches, which are then both converted to meters. The result is the total measurement in meters.

The second formula, "CONVERT(K8,"lbm","kg")", is used to convert a weight measurement in pounds (lbm) to kilograms (kg). The formula takes the value in cell K8, which should contain a weight measurement in pounds, and converts it to kilograms.

The third formula, "Weight/Height^2", is used to calculate a person's Body Mass Index (BMI). This formula involves dividing a person's weight (in kilograms) by their height (in meters) squared. The resulting number is the person's BMI, which is used as an indicator of whether someone is underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese.
