Convert Rows Into Columns & Columns Into Rows

 


To convert rows into columns and columns into rows in Excel, you can use the "Transpose" feature. Here's how:

  1. Select the cells that you want to transpose.
  2. Copy the cells by pressing "Ctrl+C" on your keyboard or right-click and select "Copy."
  3. Right-click on the cell where you want to paste the transposed data and select "Paste Special."
  4. In the "Paste Special" dialog box, check the "Transpose" option and click "OK."
  5. The data will now be pasted with rows and columns transposed.

To convert columns into rows and rows into columns, follow the same steps, but select the cells in the column you want to transpose, copy them, and then right-click on the cell where you want to paste the transposed data. When you select "Paste Special," make sure to check the "Transpose" option.

Note that when you transpose data, the formatting of the cells may change. You may need to adjust the formatting of the cells after transposing the data.
