How To Highlight Duplicate Values In Excel

To highlight duplicate values in Excel using conditional formatting, follow these steps:

  1. Select the range of cells that you want to check for duplicates.
  2. Click on the "Conditional Formatting" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Highlight Cells Rules" and then "Duplicate Values."
  4. In the "Duplicate Values" dialog box, select the formatting you want to apply to the duplicate values. For example, you can choose to highlight them in red.
  5. Click OK to close the dialog box, and Excel will highlight all the duplicate values in the selected range with the formatting you specified.

Note: You can also choose to highlight unique values, or values that occur more than a certain number of times, using the same steps but selecting the appropriate option in the "Duplicate Values" dialog box.
